2025 Ph.D. Dissertation Award Announcement
The International Association of Aquaculture Economics and Management (IAAEM) announces the 2025 Ph.D. Dissertation Award in Aquaculture Economics, Marketing, and Management. This Ph.D. Dissertation Award will recognize research excellence and contribution to the profession by a doctoral candidate in aquaculture economics, marketing, and management. The recipients of the award will receive an honorarium of $2,000 to attend an in-person professional aquaculture meeting*.
An honorable mentioned dissertation can also receive a travel award.
Nomination requirements
- Eligible for nomination are final or submitted dissertations with a completion/acceptance date during the calendar year 2025.
- A letter of nomination from the department head (or chair) or the major professor where the dissertation was completed. The letter should state the nominee’s name, the title of the dissertation, a nomination or recommendation from the major advisor, the name of the institution, and a brief outline of the merits of the research and the contribution to the aquaculture industry.
- A soft (pdf) copy of the dissertation in English.
The deadline for receipt of entries for dissertations completed in 2025 is January 23, 2026.
